Part 1: Elevate your site with a camp cocktail

Camping season is still going strong, and we couldn’t be happier. Beers after a hike are a pretty standard drink, but the flexibility of car camping opens up so many more options than just your average ale. So if you’re ready to experiment a little and elevate your camp experience, give a few of these tasty mixes a try.

For warm days, we like to cool off after a long ride with a nice, cold cocktail.

Here are some of our favorites:

NorCal Margarita
2 shots Top shelf tequila (preferably resposado or anejo), 3 shots if you’re feeling frisky
The juice and pulp of one lime
Club soda to taste

Old Fashioned
2oz of your favorite whiskey
2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters
A spoonful of fine sugar or rich simple syrup (2:1 sugar to water)

Steps to Success:
Stir all ingredients with ice and squeeze in a lemon wedge. (Easy, right?)

Gimlet / Daiquiri:
2oz white spirit (gin, vodka, rum)
3/4oz fresh lime juice (about 1 lime)
1 spoonful of sugar

Steps to Success:
Shake with ice (Yep, that’s it…)!
